Aloha!
Back from my short one-week visit to Maui, but I have a lot of stories and pictures to share. It was an amazing time in a very different world.
I left June 12th to take a bus in the morning to the 12pm ferry to bus and sky train to the airport for my 6:35pm flight. The flight was delayed, but we ended leaving on time for the 5.5 hour trip to Kahului, Maui. Sadly the TV's weren't working, so I read the entirety of Persuasion by the time we landed. I got in at 9:45pm Hawaii time (3 hours difference from here), took a taxi to the Banana Bungalow Hostel in Wailuku, and checked in.
I was given a key to Room 10, went in and saw that all beds were empty except one, and went straight to sleep. I was woken up around 1am to this girl asking why I was in her bed and who said I could be there, but I was half-awake and confused, so she left and I went back to sleep. Turns out they gave me the wrong key, so she ended up sleeping in my bed in the next room, which they gave me the next morning.
I went in and it was a room with 3 sleeping guys and I had requested an all girl's room, but luckily there was one open so I moved to Room 3 with Eva from Slovakia/Whistler and Estelle and Catherine from Quebec City. I met the guys later and they were all really nice, but guys tend to snore and I felt more comfortable in a room with girls. Good times!
